DirecTV going after rural DISH customers

Once upon a time DISH Network decided to offer rural customers who couldn't get over the air network TV (NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox) from their local stations, network TV from other markets. The number of customers is now around 900,000. Recently, a federal judge ordered them to cease doing that. EchoStar (who runs DISH) is appealing to Congress to reverse that decision on grounds that it affects their customers and their bottom line. Sneaky DirecTV is taking advantage of the situation to lobby Congress not to help EchoStar, and to tell those customers that they have an alternative - them! Of course, they are also offering those folks incentives with discounts, etc. to switch to DTV. Now if they only threw in a DVR box with the deal...
