DVR to capture old VHS

Hi all,

I am not interested at all in the "TV" part of a DVR, I am just looking for a DVR with RCA inputs in order to capture old VHS. I am looking for a standalone box, not needing a computer.

I used a Lacie Lacinema Black Record for the first 30 or so tapes, but it really has a bad interface, and zero config options (output format... etc.)

What would be your suggestions for a good DVR for this. I have hundreds of tapes in different formats from the 50's til today to capture. I am looking for a simple solution not requiring re-encoding or any work in the computer after.

Thanks,

One thing you can try is using a Vulkano place-shifting recording device. It allows you to record anything sent to it on either an external HD or to your computer.
