I have a dead Pioneer 510-H. It would seem (newb here) that the hard drive is dead-it makes no sound when the unit powers up. The LCD dsiplays come up, but it never can boot up completely and you have to unplug it to turn it off.
Is there a way I can replace the hard drive? Can I increase the hard drive size in the process?
There was a way to upgrade it that I found but couldn't do some years ago. It required you buy a special remote that accessed technician-only functions. That kept me from doing it ($$$ for remote). Now smart phones can replicate remotes so I am hoping there may be a cheap way to fix it.
