New Hard drive, quickly repowers on startup

I have a Series 2 TIVO and the old drive seemed to die (unit is about 4 years old).  So I got a new WD 160 GB and used Instant Cake on it.  During that process I had the drive as a master on the secondary IDE channel in my PC.  Cake process went fine.  But since the old drive jumper was set on cable select that is how I set it when I put it back in my TIVO.

Now, a few seconds after powering up the TIVO it sounds like the drive depowers and then powers right back up.  Everything seems to work fine after that.  I am wondering, do you think I should put the drive jumper back as a master (jumper off the drive in this case)?  The quick repower seems odd to me.

 Thanks!
